Trick Or Treat!

You are not allowed to laugh. This is the very first pillow I've ever machine sewed. However, overlooking goofy corners and a badly seamed shut end, it turned out satisfactory. I love how the black & orange gingham matches so well with the cross stitched border in the design. I glued on wiggle eyes instead of the tiny buttons included with the pattern as I'll want to use those buttons when I eventually stitch up the entire Boo Club design. I added a black poofy bow and spooky little bells to each corner. Hoping those bells will disguise my poor sewing skills? Again, the camera refuses to draw the fabric color. *&%$$#*&@

Design ~ Boo Club Series Creepy
Designer ~ Lizzie*Kate
Fabric ~ 28 count Wichelt Jobelan, Daffycat dyed Tangerine Orange
Fiber ~ DMC
Finish ~ Pillow

I'm Missy Ann's day 11 winner of the 13 Days Of Halloween! Go me! That is the sneak peek photo. I wonder what it is??? I'll find out very soon as Missy already had my address and got it mailed today. I can't wait to see. Thank you Missy, this has been a very fun giveaway!

Well, Sharon, I never took you for a traitorous stitch witchy friend like Queenie!!! But, here you are accepting my wins from Missy, as well!! Hurmph!! The goblins are gonna get you for this one!! EEE!
I suppose I should congratulate you, as you are one of my friends, but just don't do it again. I'm sure Missy had to stir you aside so my name could pop up next time. It's okay, I suppose. Enjoy your (supposed to be mine!) win! :P
Hugs, your greenish around the gills friend, Deb

WOW, Sharon that pillow is awesome, you are really underestimating yourself on this finish! My sewing skills are very beginner and I had made a bet with myself this year to get better and learn to finish with the machine but my health has gotten in the way but next year for sure! This really inspires me :)

Sharon,
Your pillow came out perfect!! I just LOVE it!! The fabric you chose is perfect! Love the bow too!
I machine sewed for the first time a few weeks ago on an ornament. I was a bit critical of it but DH said it came out good for "someone who doesn't sew" LOL Afterall it is his sewing machine :) I just got sick of asking him to sew for me so I took the plunge ;)

I am planning on sewing a small pillow with the design I am working on now. wish me luck!
