June TU SAL, late, late, late!

The new moon was a week ago so I am dreadfully late posting! I've been terribly busy at work, hiring and training a new employee, along with all other things that tend to crop up. Oklahoma is sweltering with unusual heat for June and all I want is to sit in the air conditioning and eat Popsicles! Here is my TU SAL update (Totally Useless Stitch A Long.) Most of these ORTs came from the May side of the lunar cycle...June has been rather scant in the ORT-creating business, I'm afraid. And how do you like my frogging jar? A little glass jar with some cute froggie stickers fixed me up. See, I started an exchange project and after frogging three days worth of stitching on it, I decided I needed a frogging jar for the TU SAL. I'm sure you are remembering May's catastrophe? This frogging episode was not my fault! No...I no longer trust Bent Creek's charts. They are just crazy full of errors!

I must confess, I have not even started on the June block of Snapper Year. Did frogging the entire May block steal my enthusiasm for Snapper Year? Yes, it did. There, I said it! *gasp* I have had no urge to stitch June or even just to begin to stitch June. Maybe I need to put my monthly stitch aside for a time? I've been working on my exchange design in what little free time I've had and been thinking of pulling out old WIPs that would be gathering dust if they weren't sealed in plastic boxes. I bet you don't even remember Peacock Cypher, do you? Or J'apprends a compter les moutons? They haven't seen daylight in the last year at least! Hummm, I hate decisions like this...

Thank you for visiting my blog today!

You have to jump right back on that horse. Get to work on that Snapper! Well, maybe a break wouldn't hurt... NO, Snapper. But wait, those WIP's need attention too!
It is just too hot to think straight!
I love your froggie jar and that scissor fob is just too cute!

Oh my gosh, that frogging jar is adorable! Looking at that cute frog would make frogging a little easier to deal with...notice I said "a little easier". I hate frogging!

As for errors in charts, I have come across the same thing lately and none of the designs I'm talking about are Bent Creek :/ Designers really need to proof-read their charts.

Hope you get more stitching time soon. I hate how work gets in the way of my stitching time, too!

Cute frogging jar. It seems I need one of those too after last month. LOL Thank you again for your well wishes on my blog. I think they worked. :o)

I don't know those WiPs you mentioned at all--bring 'em back! :)

Is it wrong that I'm gloating to myself at least a little that I've escaped 20+ years of OK heat to live here in NJ, where it's "May" all June? (Or so it seems to me?) Today was hot, though. Made it to 90. Okay, only Hot-ish. :P

Oh, and the humidity! I belly-laugh when NJ locals lament about "the humidity". They don't even have a clue what that stuff is!

What?! Stop Snapper Year? No! Just do a little...the June block was the one that took me the longest. If you do a little, you'll get your mojo back.

Love your frogging jar. Those stickers are cute!!

Daffy ~
I love your jar and I think I will make a frogging jar so I can keep track of the threads I pull out of stuff and the things I put in jars that are orts.
I know how hard it is to get back on that horse when you have had to frog.
My problem was I took Crabby with me when I had Knee ~ Hi seen by the other vet and they found cancer. We decided to treat her for it and she just died one night while in the vet's hospital after just three weeks of treatment. To see that piece now just makes me cry cause I miss her so much. I know that sometime this year it won't be like that and I can pick it up again. I was really keeping up with it and whipping right along, too. Bummer!!!
Your stitching always looks so great I enjoy going to your blog.
Keep it up and work on something even if you have to put the monthly one up for a short while.
God Bless ~
Lenna

I am so sorry that you lost your joy in stitching your monthly project. But I do understand you so well. I do tend to do the same thing if I run in problems with charts. Just leave it for a while and try tackle it again later. Just show those WIP the light of day for a change. I also love the frogging glass. It is really cute. Have a great stitching day. Billie

Ok, I'm jealous! I love your frog jar!!! Just too cool. I cannot believe those bloody frogs are still around. Maybe if you put them in the bag or get them drunk like Harmien suggested it would help. Hang in there girl!

I am a big fan of putting away major frogged projects. Remember that next year has a June also. Hee!

Sounds like you need a break! Just put the snappers away for a bit.

You filled up your jar nicely.. hope you don't have to frog anymore...

I absolutely love that frogging jar! What a super idea! It certainly brightens up an otherwise dreadful chore.
Personally I would give Snapper a break but not for too long or you'll never get back to it. You can blame it all on the humidity. It tends to fog up the brain, lol!
I would love to see those other projects though.

Oh Sharon that frog jar is just way to cute!!
Now no-one is gonna stick you with needles if you don;t stitch your square on time, we will just have to come over there and confiscate your stash, bite the bullet and get it done girl..LOL.
If you need some cheering up I;ve got some nice young scots in kilts on my latest post..

I love the frog-jar, but I hope it stays empty.
Be brave and pick up Snapper Year again, the longer you leave it the harder it will get to find the motivation

I love your frog jar! Too cute :) Please don't give up on Snapper year, I'm so excited to see it finished since I didn't even make it out of the starting gate! LOL, then again i'd love to see Peacock Cypher again too! Sorry I can't help with your decisions :)

I find that if I don't immediately start working on what I've had to frog, I want to toss it aside. The good thing is--it's our hobby. Do what makes you happy. The stitch police won't come after you. ;)

Now it would be good to see those projects again. Hope you can face SY again soon, as it would be a shame not to finish it - it's a lovely piece. :0)
