Lavender Bliss

Went a did a little bit of stashing. I stopped by a local fabric shop called Quilting Post. I swear, I could buy a piece of every fabric I saw! I picked out a few I liked and settled for those. Too bad I don't have room for one each. As I was checking out I happened to look down and see this:

Ooo, Lavender, my favorite scent! Lavishea? I picked up the little sample tin and opened it. Holy crows, real Lavender bliss wafted out. I tipped the cake out into my hand and rubbed it a little. Smooth and buttery. "This is lotion?" I asked the lady ringing me up. It really, really was. I snatched up a tin and handed it over, only later thinking to ask how much it cost ~ not very much ~ as it turned out. Well, I did say if there was a Lavender lotion I'd buy it by the gallon tub, remember?

This lotion is amazing! It isn't greasy at all, just the perfect stuff for stitching. It smells incredible and I mean like "you-wouldn't-believe-how-yummy" incredible! It does come in other scents and unscented as well. There is even a manly-flavored one. My hands are going to be so happy this winter! Don't you hate snagging threads on cracked, scaly fingers? Lavishea has a website so you can click here to see if some place near you sells it or you could buy it from there. I am not associated with Lavishea and I wasn't asked to write this post, I am just a happy customer!

Here are the fabrics I bought. Two possibles for the Prairie Schooler ornaments and three fat quarters of the sweetest Halloween prints ever. I simply adore that candy fabric ~ so cute! The red check is nice but I'm still looking for some that is yarn-dyed and not printed, although this is a good, high-quality print. I am hoping to go to the city to Jo-ann's Fabrics this weekend. Do you think I could convince Dash to buy a bigger house so I could have more room to craft and stash?

Thank you for visiting my blog today!

I just bought some of that Lavishea this week too. I got Yarn Bar...it's a spicy sort of fragrance.

Hope it keeps my fingers snag free this winter.

Happy New Year to you. Have fun at the Joanns.

Lovely fabrics - lovely choice. Mmmm I can smell your scented bar from here. There is a shop in the UK called Lush and they sell hand-bars similar to what you have that you rub onto your hand. When I next visit I'll see if they do a lavender one and if they do I will get it for you to compare. Here's to a happy 2012 for you filled with many blessings xx

I definitely think Dash should build a bigger house so you can have more stash. My BFF brought me Lavishea unscented back from Alaska. I haven't opened it yet but I am going to run upstairs and get it right now.

That lotion sounds amazing and, yes, I'm tired of snagging my fabric and threads on my poor, dry hands. I will definitely be checking out that website! Love your fabrics, too!

I finally wrote a post about the cross stitch pattern of the red bird that you so generously gave me! It turned out gorgeous and thank you so much for sharing it with me! Stop by and take a look. :)

Blessings - Julie

Unfortunately I'm allergic to lavender :( I like the scent but it gives me the sneezes! I want to try their unscented one for sure! Thanks for posting about it. :) That candy fabric is really cute. Take care and Happy New Year!

Gorgeous fabrics! I have a candy corn patterned fabric that I bought last year that looks quite similar.

Thanks for joining the WIPocalypse for next year! I've added you to the participant list. Between it and the Crazy January challenge, my TUSAL jar is going to be working overtime!

Happy New Year!

I am COMPLETELY convinced I need one of those lotion bars. Finding a lotion that won't stain stitching that takes me seven years to complete has eluded me. It cracks me up that the man-scent is called man-bar.

I wish I was in america to get Lavishea ... unfortunately if I want it shipped to England ... it would probably cost lots for postage and the the tax for imported goods on top of that. Fabrics look exciting ... just about to go to the shop myself ... staying at mums is so handy ... one bus instead of two, and more time for shopping.
