Just Stitchy

Life has been busy for me...good busy not bad busy! I have been keeping up with reading your blogs and with my stitching I just haven't been blogging. I concentrated on The Finery of Nature and it looks fantastic. My camera need replacing, I think the focus is going out. I cannot get a clear snap but these pictures give you an idea.

Last week, I received Angela's Traveling Pattern from Mouse. I made a good start on it over the weekend. Watch this space: when I have finished a new stitcher will be chosen!

The weather was so nice on Sunday I stitched on the back patio for a few hours. Pure bliss. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to stitch outside every day? I'm hoping for some nice autumn weather this year.

Thank you for visiting my blog today!

I'm hoping for some wonderful stitching weather too - although it would help if my husband got the deck finished before the snow flies.

The Finery of Nature is just beautiful. The colors stand out so well on that black fabric. And great state on the traveling pattern.

It looks good despite the bad camera. The colors just pop on that black background.

I really wish I dared to stitch outside, but I drop things so often and having to run down three (double) flights of stairs on a retrieval mission isn't fun.

Wow, your stitching is lovely! Yeah, I'd love to be able to stitch outside all the time...

I just love that piece so much! It's so pretty! Bummer about the camera though. Nice traveling pattern so far too!

The finery of nature is really nice on the black fabric helping the colors stand out so well.

Your start to the traveling pattern looks great.

I also love being able to sit out on my back porch and stitch. I can't wait until the weather starts to cool down here.

Finery of Nature is stunning on the black! Well done!

The Finery of Nature is beautiful. There is something so rich about a pattern stitched on black.

Great start on the travelling piece.

Stitching outside would require a closed in porch - it rains probably 180 to 200 days a year on average. Enjoy all the rest of your lovely days.

Looking mighty pretty. I hope to be sitting outdoors real soon too. So relaxing to stitch and read outside.

Love that stitching on black. A bit different style than you usually go for. My eyes are being quick to remind me not to try it no matter how pretty it looks!

Ooh, stitching outside! I don't think I've ever tried that before. Maybe it'll be nice enough tomorrow to give it a try.

Glad things have been "Just Stitchy" in your world !!! Sorry about the camera issues - I am going through a little of that myself -

Your Life's a Stitch is progressing nicely & I love the dark linen you are using for your other design !!!

WOW! That is going to be an exceptional piece of art when you are finished! But I bet that black is heck on the eyes! I used to cross stitch but my eyes tire really quick now so I hire mine done. I have done a few pieces on black but they were my favorite ones even though they about put out my eyes!

Finery is looking fantastic! The colours really pop against the black, although I don't envy you having to stitch on black - it drives me insane!!!
Great start on the traveling pattern too.
Hope you can get a few more nice days to stitch outside, enjoy it while you can!

RE: focus on camera. I have come to the conclusion it is my automatic focus that is the problem, not the camera! LOL.

Finery is so very pretty!! I love those colours on the black background. It looks awesome!

I'm having troubles with my camera too. I don't know if it's the battery or what but it's just not focusing as well as it used to. I hate the thoughts of having to buy another one though. That means having to figure out all the buttons again!

I would love to stitch outside, havent tried it yet. The light is made for cross stitching :) Your work is beautiful.

Beautiful stitchery! I wish I could stitch on a dark background like that, but my eyes don't like it too well.
