It just takes a while to get used to the chaos, lol. No, seriously, when I retired there was such a lot of things I wanted to do during the day that not much was done in the end. But after a while I got more organized and it was just the way I wanted it to be - not too much structure but just enough to get things done. A nice balance.
Oh my, this piece on the black fabric looks awesome. I have never stitched on black fabric, just on dark blue one. But it isn't too difficult with my magnifier lamp. The Bent Creek finish is really lovely. How about making a little bell pull kind of finishing?Brigittehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03922122091202289138noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6778498094254760366.post-30666392936696875022017-09-25T00:27:37.517-05:002017-09-25T00:27:37.517-05:00Nature's Finery looks stunning on the black -...Nature's Finery looks stunning on the black - I can't wait to see it finished! And what a cute BC finish, too :)

I'll be joining you as a "Lady of Leisure" after next week, too. It is so hard for me to believe I'll be retiring and I am very sad, but at the same time, I'm ready. It is going to be a huge transition, but most of my good friends from the library have already retired so that makes things easier. I am so worried about wasting time--I think I'm going to have a set schedule as I've always done better when my day is planned out :)

Anyway! I bet you're in the process of de-working.
I understand your not instespersing the rows of letters with sampler stitches. That sounds cluttered and like the person making the pattern suffered from horror vacui. I too love air and space aruind the objects.
My time flies as well, and my time is not always spent doing something fiber-y, as can be seen in my blog post here:
TUSAL - SeptemberCharlotte (MotherOwl)https://www.blogger.com/profile/01059356989361649639noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6778498094254760366.post-51510200101227425662017-09-21T02:02:03.823-05:002017-09-21T02:02:03.823-05:00The more time I have on my hands, the more time I ...The more time I have on my hands, the more time I fritter away - I think when we work with routine it keeps us on track - at least I know it does with me.
