Bob Bob Bobbing along

Well, I can't show any stitching because I'm exchange stitching and, of course, it's a secret! So...I thought I'd share a little freebie cross stitch pattern. I usually like to stitch up my freebies so you can see the actual finished product but I am lazy! And you can get the idea, right?

Here is a cutie little Robin sampler for Summer. Robins patrol my yard for bugs and I love watching them. They love the sprinklers on a hot Summer day!

Holly Reindeer

My last little Christmas design, Jinglebell Reindeer, was so popular I knew I had to create you a companion design. The border on this one will fit Jinglebell as well. If you haven't seen that design click the cat on the left sidebar to be taken to the page with all my freebie designs.

Meet Holly Reindeer! I had a lot of fun designing her (him?) and even more stitching her up! Easy peasy ~ lemon squeezy; only three colors, a tiny bit of backstitch and a few French knots. Want bling & sparkle? Use some tiny seed beads for the holly berries. This one comes together quickly. Just the thing for those last-minute Christmas stitching urges!

Dreary Crabby Weekend

It is a dreary, rainy, cloudy, Crabby weekend. Incessant rain, coming up from Texas, doesn't look to be ending any time soon. Simply perfect weather to sit down with a cuppa tea (thanks Denis & Frances) and pick up my stitching.

First up is the Harvest Pumpkins floss tag. I finished it! I was thrilled to find a copper colored eyelet in my stash as it matches perfectly. This little gem is packed up ready to be mailed tomorrow as a little surprise for someone that reads my blog. I'm linking this post with the free cross stitch posts, to show the finish photo. Sorry for those expecting another free pattern!

I had another finish yesterday as well...my Lizzie Kate Exchange is complete and will be in the mail tomorrow. It turned out way too darling and I really, really wanted to keep it for myself. Damn, am I greedy! I can't wait to show you the picture when it arrives.

After all that finishing, I was ready for some serious stitching. Here is where I am on Crabby All Year September. As of last night, anyway. I hope to get chronic stitch-ass by bedtime tonight.

Harvest Pumpkins Floss Tag

I've been having fun with PCStitch Pro again. This one turned out so cute! I couldn't wait to actually finish this into the floss tag before sharing it with you. However, the backstitch lines for seam sewing are written into the pattern and put your eyelet in where the X at the top is. Or you can just stitch it up and finish it how you'd like. I'll try to finish up my floss tag soon!

You like free patterns, right?

Elephant Hello

I want to thank all of my readers for the friendship you've given me. Your encouragement and enthusiasm is truly treasured. Here is a little quick-to-stitch freebie for you. This easy cross stitch would be great as a baby shower card or a little greeting for a friend. Aren't elephants supposed to be good luck? Feel free to change the colors to suit your taste!

A Very Special Birthday

I'd like to wish my beloved daughter, Jessica, a happy 21st birthday today!

In celebration, I'm offering my readers the chart I designed especially for Jessica's birthday. The quote in this chart, "Surely A Star Danced In Heaven The Day You Were Born," was inspired by a line in Shakespeare's play Much Ado About Nothing. I hope you love the chart and quote as much as I do!

This was the first Shakespeare Jessie ever saw; at age 8, I let her watch the movie and that year a nearby group performed the play and we had tickets. Jessie laughed at all the right parts. I had her hooked! Over the years, we attended every Shakespeare play performed near enough to drive to, including Oklahoma's Shakespeare in the Park every summer. We have been fortunate enough to see plays at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London, Regent's Park Theatre, London and the Royal Shakespeare Company theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon. This fostered respect and a love of theatre in Jessica which now she would like to make her career; to this end she is studying Theatre Technologies in school.

Jessica, you rock! You go girl! Happy birthday!

Penguin freebie and a giveaway!

I have penguins on my mind lately. It may be the Christmas wrapping paper I bought with penguins on the other day. Shame on me! Gift wrap is a serious weakness of mine and I did NOT need more...but the penguins were so darn cute. I have three huge boxes in the basement, THREE boxes, full of gift wrap. The penguin wrap was really cute. I admit it. I caved.

Penguin Floss Tag

Here is a little floss ring tag I made up using a penguin I designed myself. Didn't he turn out sweet? He makes me happy!

Gnome freebie

Here is a sweet little gnome pattern that Jessie has created. I've played around with printing the pattern out, scanning & saving it so it comes with the key. It's a little more work but having a key with the floss colors listed is invaluable! I must speak with Jess about choosing non-similar symbols when designing...she has all circular ones here and that can be really annoying~can't it?

I really wanted to stitch this one up before posting it but I've been neglecting my WIP's. I hope you can find a use for this cute little guy. If you happen to stitch this, please send me a picture!

Fairy Dragon Freebie

I'm posting another free cross stitch pattern. This one was not created by me...my darling daughter made this one for you! Jessie loves dragons and she is the real artist in the family. Although she doesn't cross stitch she did an excellent job in pattern making; with only a few pointers from me.

Choose your own colors!
For this design you need:

Red (mushroom top)
Black (backstitching, nostril)
Light Tan (mushroom stem)
Bright Yellow (mushroom spots)
Dark Green (dragon)
Light Green (dragon)
Dark Gold (dragon horns)
Dark Yellow (eye)
Light Blue (wings)
Dark Blue (wing backstitching)

If you stitch this design, please email me a photo!

I haven't had anything to blog about this week. Such a boring life, eh? I have been stitching and I promise to post a progress picture soon!

I luv sheeps...freebie!

I should be working on my three WIP's but I've been fiddling around with PCStitch Pro! I have created a new freebie pattern for you. I really like sheep; in fact one of my WIP's is a sheep design. I sat down and designed this last night and stitched it this evening.

Here is Ewe Are Loved all stitched up...
Here is the chart for you to stitch it. Please note, this chart is copyrighted by me...please don't copy and email it. I don't mind if you link to this page.

I used Weeks Dye Works overdyed threads...Whitewash, Kohl and Confetti on 28 count tea dyed Monaco, stitched over one thread.

I hope you enjoy my little splurge of creativity!
If you stitch this send me a picture!!!
