Crabby Weeds

I had a great weekend. On Saturday, I finished up the August block of Crabby All Year...Weeds! I really love the tiny dandelion seeds ~ too cute! I'm thinking the brownish-green weeds might be crabgrass? What do you think?! This was a quick stitch, as most of the blocks are, and very enjoyable to work on. I think I'm ready for summer to be over. The hot weather should give way to autumn soon. I'm looking forward to stews and chili and a big pot of beans, ham and cornbread, oooo ~ chicken & dumplings...yum. Cooking heats up the house so much we just don't do much of it in the summer. We grill outside, eat cold sandwiches or get take-out. I want roasted turkey, baked ham and can you tell I'm tired of eating out?

Thank you for visiting my blog today!

  1. I love that block! Such a fun and clever stitch. I know what you mean about craving something else to eat. We've been grilling and grilling and grilling. I wanted to make a pan of brownies this past weekend, but it was 95, so it just didn't make sense to use the oven and heat up the house.

  9. Weeds is cool!
This morning we had just 9C degrees so the autumn is starting to creep in on us. I like the cool air in the morning and after work the weather is almost as warm as in the summer.

  11. In Summer i hardly use the kitchen for cooking because is very unpleasant when there are 40ºC (104ºF), so we survived on the basis of salads (a lot), roast chicken shops. There are too hot even at night.

i like the dandelions! lovely stitching.
