These strange "photos" messed with my layout! Doesn't that look stupid!
I couldn't decide what color fabric I wanted to use for next years' monthly project, Bent Creek's Snapper Year. I knew I wanted a Silkweaver fabric since I REALLY like the Silkweaver I'm using for Crabby All Year. So I ordered two cuts of 32 count Lugana in Golden Honey and Sand. What do you think?
Thank you for visiting my blog today!
I love both, although golden honey is my favorite! 32 count, huh? 28 is about all I can manage.
ReplyDeletemy vote - golden honey!!
ReplyDeleteI like the sand. Both will be pretty though.
ReplyDeleteThey're both pretty! I think you'll one once you get them and can see them with your threads. I'm looking forward to seeing what you pick!
ReplyDeleteBoth are lovely, plz do share as you work on them.
ReplyDeleteThey're both lovely, but I'd go with the Sand for Snapper.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry because I'm biased and love their Sand :o)
ReplyDeleteI like the Sand...that's what I stitched mine on. It compliments the charts really nicely. Although I think that if I was to do it again, I would pick a more mottled fabric, so that it showed more. The Sand that I have is very subtle.
ReplyDeleteAnother Sand vote. But I'd much rather see it in person. So... if the snow gets to be a bit much feel free to drive on down to Houston, I've got a guest room and we can floss toss & compare stash to our hearts content. lol
ReplyDeleteI'd go with Sand too...but I like the stitching to stand out more than the fabric usually.
ReplyDeleteI love both but think the Sand will look really nice with it!
ReplyDeleteThat's a difficult decision because both your fabrics are beautiful. I'd decide spontaneously.
ReplyDeleteAnd another Sand vote here but I'm thinking it will take you to have them both in front of you to decide.
ReplyDeleteI like the Golden Honey. I see I am in the minority!
ReplyDeleteI have both and I love both :-) so I can't really help !lol Both are going to look great but maybe sand will fit better the design .
ReplyDeleteAnother vote for the Sand.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with it!
Marilyn
They are both lovely, but I think I'd go for the sand as it seems slightly more neutral
ReplyDeleteI choose the sand colour to. What a nice work you gonna make! Let you know your choice?
ReplyDeleteRegards, Riet.
They're both so lovely...
ReplyDeleteBut I will choose for Golden Honey...
Those are both very pretty. I like Silkweaver fabrics too. I would have to do a floss toss because I am not familiar with the colors/flosses in that piece but I am sure yours will be fabulous!
ReplyDeleteMy vote is for Sand, too (mainly because I've never liked the taste of honey. Well, not it's not like I enjoy the taste of sand either, but you get the idea!)
ReplyDeleteSorry, no help here because I really like both of them.
ReplyDeletePatti xxx
Ultimately it's your choice , but I can see it in the Golden Honey.
ReplyDeletegood luck.
There both pretty but my vote is for the sand.
ReplyDeleteI really like the golden honey best, bot after seeing the complete chart, I would go with the sand, the golden honey seems to be a bit too warm for that project.
ReplyDeleteI love the Golden Honey
ReplyDeleteBoth are pretty, but I'm partial to the Sand.
ReplyDeleteI love the warmth of the golden honey!
ReplyDeleteColours never look the same on the computer as in real life, i'm sure 1 will shout SNAPPER when you see them
ReplyDeleteOh boy, they are both very lovely. Thats a tough choice. I Think I would go with Golden Honey just the name alone is drool worthy. Look forward to seeing what you decide on :)
ReplyDeleteThe honey is too yellow for my taste. I'm for sand too. Looks like a consensus is building.
ReplyDeleteI like them both and have them both but I'd vote for Sand for this project - but it's up to you!
ReplyDeleteGolden Honey gets my vote
ReplyDeleteare you doing them all in a row?
ReplyDeleteI've started on this, but just the border, and not enough to write home about...wanna SAL?
I like the Sand, I've used it before, it's a lovely colour fabric.
ReplyDeleteI vote for sand!
ReplyDeletebut maybe golden honey will help make the lighter colors pop more?
cant wait to see which one you pick
