Taco

Back in October we had a brief cold snap and it got pretty chilly around here. I knew Taco wasn't happy in her usual spot on top of my floss cabinet. The window next to my stitching desk gets really cold in the winter. I need some heavy drapes to block that! When it got cold she started stealing my chair every time I got up. When she was in her bed on the floss cabinet she curled into a tight little tuft.

Since I need a catless chair to stitch in I was taken to desperate measures. We moved the cat bed! I cleared off the top of the chest of drawers that holds stash and added a big warm cat bed. I think she will be cosier here in the winter.

I think she likes it.

She looks happy anyway.

Taco thinks photo shoots are boring though. And that is only a trick of the camera, she doesn't really have three canine teeth.

My biggest problem now is Taco can see my face from her bed and thinks she has to talk to me. Constantly. Meow. Meow. Meow. Meow. Meow.

  4. Love chatty kitties. The duo of chaos are starting to talk with us now. Homer used to keep me company during college and those late night study times. His constant chatter helped keep me up :)

  7. My Siamese is a talker and she also meows at the top of her lungs, often. She screams so loud you think she is dying! People on the phone always ask who and what is THAT noise. Oh, it's just the cat.
I know how you feel. Jade sits with me when I stitch and she first has to walk over my stitching before she sits beside me. If I get much broader she won't have a place to sit.
Taco, cute name, is darling. I know why you love her.
    God Bless ~

  11. What a sweetie...you know my cats never "talk" to me...but they talk to my husband all the time. You know I'm just the one that feeds them, waters them, brushes them, cleans their litter box, makes sure there bed is all clean and cozy...just the small stuff. My husband comes home from work gives them a token scratch on the neck and they talk meow and rub against him like he's bringing home a smoked salmon or something....geez...

  14. It appears that her and Smokey Cat need to get together for a duet :) and is she really talking to you or is it more of a complaint session in progress? My DH thinks I'm nuts when I 'talk back' to Smokey Cat...he doesn't understand meow apparently.

  22. She's very pretty! I have a cat that constantly talks--meow, meow, meow. Sounds like it'd be cute, but after a while it gets on my last nerve. I feel kind of bad telling my kitty to shut up but goodness, she's chatty.
