Last Totally Useless Post

I can't believe it's the last TU SAL of the year! This year went by way too fast. Our host for the SAL has disappeared. Yoyo, who blogged at Dragon My Needle, has removed her blog entirely. I wish she would have at least told one of us what was up...so we wouldn't worry about her.

However, the Totally Useless Stitch A Long continues. My offering for the New Moon is meager at best. It was a crazy busy month for me. I count myself lucky to have stitched what I did! My Totally Useless jar was photographed in front of all the stuff at the corner of my desk. You can see in the background the big jar of ORTs. Holy cow ~ that's a lot of ORTs!

Join us for the SAL? Grab an empty jar and save your ORTs (Old Ratty Threads) and post a picture on the New Moon each month. It is Totally Useless but a fun way to measure your progress! Plus, it gives you something to blog about when you are stuck for ideas. We have a date, right? The next New Moon is on January 4, 2011...

You don't want to miss the LOVELY Christmas freebie that Robin of Stitches and Cats, Oh MY! has created. I simply adore the design! Be sure to save her blog to your blogroll as well, you won't be disappointed.

Thank you for visiting my blog today!

  1. Oooh, I might join your ORT this year, if only I can find a way of explaining to my other half why I have a little jar of thread.

Thanks for the follow, and for including me in your list, I'm all honoured!

  5. I wondered if Yoyo had quit. I hadn't seen a posting from her in my reader in a long time.

Bummer --- I was going to start again in January. :-/

  8. I think my whole family would appreciate me keeping my ORT's so I may give it a try for next year :) They always end up on clothes, shoes, coats, furniture etc. LOL. Thanks for the blog link to that really lovely ornament freebie, I may have to stitch that one up next year!

Cute little snowman ornament, he's a sweetie.

A year of ORTS, its amazing how much thread we have to throw out, i wonder how much it all measures ... not that i expect you to lay it all out and measure it!!

  10. I hate when people delete their blog and disappear. Danielle did that recently too. Your orts are very pretty!

  11. I started saving my orts, probably because I saw some reference to it online, but I didn't realize that it was a stitch-a-long. I'm marking my calendar for the 4th to post a picture.

Question: Do I need to start a new jar of orts at the first of the year or can I continue to use the jar that I have been filling up to now?

Thank you so much for mentioning my blog. Sending a big {{{{hug}}}} your way!
