October ORT Report

Man, I loooove me some Halloween fabrics. I thought this one was cute to back my ORT jar for October even though so many of the threads are Christmas colored! Can you believe how many ORTs I've created lately? I think my making a point to stitch during the week has helped. I know my mood has sure improved. Stitching at the library once a week has spilled over into stitching at other times, and that's a plus. Of course, this means I am dreadfully behind on my blog reading. As always.

Look at all the goodies Tracey of More than just Cross Stitchin' sent me for the Totally Useless giveaway! There is a lovely Santa Claus ornament, pretty threads, bright red fabric, two crocheted dish cloths, some Thread Heaven (you will love that stuff) and some awesome charts. Thank you so much, Tracey! I am getting excited for the year to be over so I can draw a winner for all this awesome stash!

If you would like to join in on the Totally Useless Stitch A Long, feel free! Just grab a jar, save your thread ends (ORTs) and snap a picture on the New Moon and post it to your blog! A no pressure, no cost stitch-a-long, it's easy and fun.

Just so you know ~ I will be creating a new sign-up post for the 2012 TUSAL soon. Until then, feel free to start now. I love seeing how creative some of you are with those ORT jar photos!

If you have entered my blogoversary giveaway don't forget to leave a comment on this post too for another entry!

Thank you for visiting my blog today!

  14. Sharon,
    I love the fabric. Spooky!

Wow! Someone is going to have so much fun going through all those goodies for the TUSAL!

I joined the 2011 TUSAL and failed as I did last year. I get to a point where I don't have put a few threads to show so I give up. I don't know if I should give it another try. We shall see.

    Have a great stitching week!

  18. I had never heard of an ORT jar until recently and I don't really understand the concept. Why do people put their bits into a jar and is it only embroidery thread or is it all types? I guess I lead a sheltered life...LOL

  26. Isn't it nice to know how much the TUSAL has grown - I'm sure Yo-Yo would be very pleased to know how we have taken the concept and run with it. Mind you, I still have to explain it to the un-initiated...
I've added my TUSAL post and pic to my blog.

  28. Love the fabric behind your TUSAL! I love Halloween. The TUSAL winner will have a very nice prize. I was thinking I may have to join next year. But then that means that I have to start a blog. I am still trying to decide if I have the time and the words to have my own blog. It would take time away from reading other witty blogs and from stitching.

  52. I just now posted my Octover TUSAl picture. If I'm disqualified from winning anything for being so late, that's ok. My computer couldn't be fixed and my camera isn't compatible with Windows 7 which is on the lap top I'm using now (or so I thought) so I didn't think I'd be able to upload any more pictures and missed the Oct new moon. Anyway, everything is working together now and I'm back to posting pics.
