Life has been busy for me...good busy not bad busy! I have been keeping up with reading your blogs and with my stitching I just haven't been blogging. I concentrated on The Finery of Nature and it looks fantastic. My camera need replacing, I think the focus is going out. I cannot get a clear snap but these pictures give you an idea.
Last week, I received Angela's Traveling Pattern from Mouse. I made a good start on it over the weekend. Watch this space: when I have finished a new stitcher will be chosen!
The weather was so nice on Sunday I stitched on the back patio for a few hours. Pure bliss. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to stitch outside every day? I'm hoping for some nice autumn weather this year.
Thank you for visiting my blog today!

that stitching is really lovely!
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping for some wonderful stitching weather too - although it would help if my husband got the deck finished before the snow flies.
ReplyDeleteThe Finery of Nature is just beautiful. The colors stand out so well on that black fabric. And great state on the traveling pattern.
It looks good despite the bad camera. The colors just pop on that black background.
ReplyDeleteThe Finery of Nature is just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI really wish I dared to stitch outside, but I drop things so often and having to run down three (double) flights of stairs on a retrieval mission isn't fun.
ReplyDeleteWow, your stitching is lovely! Yeah, I'd love to be able to stitch outside all the time...
ReplyDeleteI just love that piece so much! It's so pretty! Bummer about the camera though. Nice traveling pattern so far too!

ReplyDeleteThe Finery of Nature is beautiful. There is something so rich about a pattern stitched on black.
ReplyDeleteGreat start on the travelling piece.
Stitching outside would require a closed in porch - it rains probably 180 to 200 days a year on average. Enjoy all the rest of your lovely days.
Looking mighty pretty. I hope to be sitting outdoors real soon too. So relaxing to stitch and read outside.
ReplyDeleteLove that stitching on black. A bit different style than you usually go for. My eyes are being quick to remind me not to try it no matter how pretty it looks!

ReplyDeleteWOW! That is going to be an exceptional piece of art when you are finished! But I bet that black is heck on the eyes! I used to cross stitch but my eyes tire really quick now so I hire mine done. I have done a few pieces on black but they were my favorite ones even though they about put out my eyes!
ReplyDeleteFinery is looking fantastic! The colours really pop against the black, although I don't envy you having to stitch on black - it drives me insane!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat start on the traveling pattern too.
Hope you can get a few more nice days to stitch outside, enjoy it while you can!
Oh you are right! It is fantastic. I just love pieces done on black.
ReplyDeleteRE: focus on camera. I have come to the conclusion it is my automatic focus that is the problem, not the camera! LOL.

ReplyDeleteI'm having troubles with my camera too. I don't know if it's the battery or what but it's just not focusing as well as it used to. I hate the thoughts of having to buy another one though. That means having to figure out all the buttons again!
I would love to stitch outside, havent tried it yet. The light is made for cross stitching :) Your work is beautiful.
