I've been working on a new project! It is a cutie...but I only have the border finished so this is a fairly boring snap to show you:
This is The Trilogy's Sneak Peek "Halloween" with the border modified to make just one of the scenes. You can see the entire project on this page, about half way down. Any guesses which block I'm going to stitch?
=^..^=
Lead Foot or stuff you really wanted to know about me:
90% of the time I am driving I will have the cruise control on. This is because I have a lead foot and if I'm not very careful I will find myself speeding.
I discovered this problem as the cheerful holder of a learner's permit at 16. I remember driving on the highway with my father (a completely unflappable man) who peered at my speedometer and said mildly,"Going a hair fast there, Sharon."
The speed limit was 55 MPH. I was going like 90.
You'd think someone with no sense of how fast she is traveling in a car would have a file full of speeding tickets, right? Nope, not a single one! I've only ever been pulled over once, and that WAS for speeding but the officer just gave me a warning.
I'm careful. I know my flaws.
However, I DID get a ticket the time I hit a boat. With my car. At a stop light.
Thank you for visiting my blog today!

Now that looks rather interesting what you are doing... I will keep checking back to see your progress as I am curious now!
ReplyDeleteAs for your 'lead foot' and sitting on cruise control, I SO relate to this! I also tend to sped when I dont have cruise on! So now I use it all the time, that way no speeding tickets!
Love reading your antics :)
I'm going to guess . . . . the CAT!
ReplyDeleteI like your border on your piece! I would guess the cat as well!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of your weekend!

Very interesting border! Hmmm...I don't think I'm going on a limb when I guess the cat!
ReplyDeleteI have a lead foot too. I use the cruise on a nearby street. It's a 4 laner and the speed limit is just 45. I've had one speeding ticket there already and don't need a 2nd one! While I have a lead foot too, I don't drive crazy (tail gate or shoot the gap kind of stuff).
I like the border of your new project.
ReplyDeleteMy DD has a lead foot too. I can just picture you and your dad in the car.
Everyone's guessing the cat. lol.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty good with staying around the speed limit. I'm sure I annoy the daylights out of everyone around me, nobody likes going the speed limit. But I know that if I go with the flow of everyone around me, I will be the one to get pulled over! That's just my luck. ;)
Great new project!
ReplyDeleteThe cat or the pumpkin... :D
ReplyDeleteI once drove my brother's car into a pole head-on... He said I'd only get to drive his new one when it's paid off and he wants insurance money again...
I guess the pumpkin
ReplyDeleteI clicked on your link and saw the chart I'm thinking the cat is what you'll be stitching? Darling border and no matter which one you do stitch - they are all super cute:)
ReplyDeletelove Annette
A great new project. BC has such lovely designs. Looking forard to seeing your choice here.
ReplyDeleteI'm just the opposite - I don't have a lead foot and rarely ever speed. But when I do I can be sure that there's some radar there and I have to pay, lol.
... no, it's a Trilogy, not a BC, lol. And I think you'll go with the cat.
ReplyDeleteLovely new project.
ReplyDeleteA nice new start, no idea which one... the cat?
ReplyDeleteI've never had a ticket... you watch now I've written that down i'll get one!
I will be anxious to see more of your project! It looks very interesting.
ReplyDeleteI remember riding with my grandmother wishing she would use the cruise control. She was a "gooser". I wasn't one to get carsick unless I was riding with her. She also drove the automatic with both feet.
ReplyDeleteThose were the days!
I love the border. It is anything but boring. My guess is the pumpkin. Which ever one you stitch it will be lovely.
ReplyDeleteOooh, what a great sneak peek - can't wait to see the finished product. You are too funny, Sharon! Love your "lead foot" confession.
ReplyDeleteLove that border - enjoy the project :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy stitching.. it's looking great
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI think the pumpkin!!!!
That is a great border, what ever you put in the middle will be fabulous!
ReplyDeletelooking forwards to see rest, interesting
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Sweden
Sneak peaks make me want to see the whole thing!! That looks so interesting...now hurry along and get it done so I don't have to wait too long to see it :-D
ReplyDeleteI understand the lead foot syndrome.....
You hit a boat? With the car? Well, at least that is more interesting my ticket. My husband doesn't like license plates on the front end of the car -- says it messes up the look of the car. He even found, online somewhere, that in Texas it isn't required to have them on the front. One day he got pulled over and got a warning for that exact thing, came home and put the plate on HIS car. I suggested he put mine on but OH NO...the next day I was pulled over right by TCU and I got a ticket. I was on my way to the dentist and by the time I got there I was so angry they sent me home! We put the plate on and I went to court to prove it was there but I also made sure that everybody who would listen knew that it wasn't MY ticket - it was my husband's!!!! Needless to say we have had all the plates on all the cars ever since.
ReplyDeleteBTW -- love the stitching -- will check back soon to see the progress.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun border! I haven't seen this design before but I think the witch is the cutest! I love your driving story. My dad would have been freaking out! We won't even talk about my mom. Driving her around stresses me out...she freaks out about stuff happening two lanes over.
ReplyDeleteI love the Sneak Peek design!
ReplyDeleteMe thinks you are stitching Kitty :o)
Have a happy spring!
ReplyDeleteNice border and going to be so cute when you get it finished.
ReplyDeleteI guess the cat!
ReplyDeleteI like that border a lot.
Like your car story too.
My foot actually fluctuates in weight, sometimes it's made of lead, sometimes it's as light as a feather.
