Yesterday was the New Moon! Do you have your ORTs all polished up for inspection? I kept having to stuff mine flatter in the wooden leaf bowl. Especially when adding in those little clipped dog ear corners. I find dog ear confetti all over the house! Always a party around here! Here is my stuffed bowl sitting atop En Provence, which is waiting impatiently to be put together:
I also had another container to show you. Remember my Cash for Stash can for the Piggy Bank Challenge? I'm afraid that can was too small. When it got too full to add any coins I had to come up with a new plan. I found this great wine bottle and my friend, Lauren designed and cut vinyl lettering with her Cricut machine.
Isn't that totally awesome? Now I have lots more room for coin saving. On July 6th we empty our banks and report how much we saved to buy guilt free stash with.
=^..^=
Now it is YOUR turn...we want to see your ORTs! Leave a comment on this post with a link to your January TUSAL post so we can come visit! If I hold a Totally Useless giveaway your comment will earn you an extra entry.

Oh My Gosh, Daff, your quilts are just breathtaking, and this one is no exception! I love the colors <3
ReplyDeleteI adore your Cash Stash bottle and the ORTs inside are so pretty!
Good luck on your Piggy Bank Challenge, sounds like you are going to be in good shape for some stash enhancement ;)
My TUSAL post is up on my blog and ready for perusing...http://theteakettlecorner.blogspot.com/2017/01/january-tusal.html

En Provence looks great. I finally got my fabric and hope to start soon - mine is planned as I just didn't have enough scraps. My TUSAL post is here: http://yellowflowermeadow.blogspot.com/2017/01/sal-check-ins.html
ReplyDeleteNow that is a full ORT bowl! Loving the colours in your quilt.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great cash holder, very spiffy with the lettering.
The colors on your quilt are just stunning!

The blocks from En Provence are so pretty – that will be a glorious quilt. And your ort bowl is full again – quilts galore in the Daffycat household!
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of guilt-free stash enhancement, though my goal for the year is to refrain (though will allow myself purchase of needed threads). I reached SABLE ages ago and need to stitch up some of what I have! We’ll see how long I can hold on to that restraint….
My January orts are HERE.
Your ORTs bin looks like you have been working a lot. Lovely colours. To see, or rather not see, my ORTs go to: http://krydderuglen.blogspot.dk/2017/01/januars-tusal.html
ReplyDeleteLOVING that quilt top and the colors! I think that is great that you 'outsaved' your old cash stash and needed a bigger one. How cool is that. Your ORT bowl is FULL!!!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend. xo Diana
Your quilting is amazing! And I am quite impressed with your coin saving. I always try to do that, but never remember to empty my pockets.
