I'm still here...

It has just been a quiet time for me. After the November marathon blogging of NaBloPoMo I didn't feel much like blogging. Then, I've been having a bit of trouble with my internet connection which goes out at the most inconvenient times. I've been able to keep up with your posts in my feed reader but haven't always been able to connect long enough to make many comments. Thus, my relative silence. This post has been trying to be made all this last week but the connection has been lost every time I set myself to do it!

There hasn't been much stitching either! You'd think having no internet would give me loads of stitching time but no...I just sat and pouted. I have a made a little start on Crabby December.

But this is all. This block has been difficult to get motivated on and I'm not sure why. Maybe it's that huge chunk of light blue to stitch, or the fact that this is the last block to go? I will get it finished come hell or high water...

Look what arrived last week! This lovely ornament from Lisa, along with a Christmas present! I'm so excited! Thank you so much for thinking of me this year, Lisa!

I am waiting on pins & needles for the fabric to arrive from Silkweaver for next year's monthly project. Oh yes, and the January chart as well. I have all the other months for Snapper Year but the January one was backordered. I really hope it arrives before the big day! Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Thank you for visiting my blog today!

  2. It is so easy for weeks to pass by merely reading blogs and forgetting to post - and I fully understand your dilemma of shonky connection - but look at the good side - you have extra time to stitch!!
Merry Christmas - I'm sure you'll finish before the end of the year...then you can put your energies into the next start!

  3. Blasted technology >:o(

I think deep down you're sad to see the project done. You'll get it finished though :o)

Beautiful ornie! Can't wait to see what's inside the wrapping paper ;o)

  4. I always thinks its sad when a year long project comes to an end, but of course its all excitement too when you can start a new one.

Hope your internet connection is soon sorted, i missed your lovely posts.

  5. I don't particularly like to stitch blocks of one colour either. I find that with the Neighborhood piece that I'm working on. When I get to the houses I could pull my own teeth out. But you'll get thru it and you'll be on your way to Snapper year right around the corner. I'm sure that you'll get January before you start.
You ornie from Lisa is adorable :)

  7. hey, I have an idea for your last square! My friend stitched that pattern, and on the date line she put the real date, and then in the signature line, she stitched her name in cursive. it was very cute!

  8. Very pretty ornament. Yep, blasted technology. My old, 18 year old tv went to heaven this week. I have a loaner from my mom until I decide what I want to buy. I stitch with the tv!

Not much stitching going on here either. I'm swirling in the holiday rush!

  10. You poor thing....wonky connection and blog burn out! Have you thought about a little extrinsic motivation to help you get through the expanse of light blue? You could always reward yourself with a piece of chocolate at the end of a row.

  11. Oh jeez, I hear you on the posting. I've been quiet too after the month of chatter! lol That and I am rushing to make last minute ornament gifts. Why oh why didn't I think to do this in September!?!

Sorry to hear about the internet woes. I think I'd die without internet!

Cute ornie from Lisa. If you think that your January pattern will be really delayed...let me know and I can lend you mine.

  18. Urgh, sorry about the internet connection problems! My family knows that I am a woman on the edge if something happens to keep me off line. It's not pretty. I don't think you realize just how dependent you are on them innernets till you can't get on. ;P Hope it gets straightened out soon!

  32. Thanks for sharing your DMC filing system--do you use it for silks and all other fibers, as well?

Love the "cd rack floss cabinet"--reminds me of the old library card files. :D
