A happy Easter evening! We spent a quiet holiday. Dash happily colored eggs, I happily munched egg salad sandwiches!
I stopped by a local quilt shop (yesterday) and found this charm pack:
Here are the prints in the package of five inch squares:
Aren't those fun prints? When I saw them, I knew they'd be perfect for backing smaller Ornaments like this:
Design ~ Warm Hands, Warm Heart
Designer ~ The Little Stitcher
Fabric ~ 28 count black Jobelan
Fiber ~ DMC
This is such a darling design! I changed the colors to brighter ones since I stitched it on black fabric. You can find this one in the Just CrossStitch Christmas Ornaments 2017 issue.
Why do you only see the giant red fuzzy stuck right in the middle after you took the photos, transferred them to the computer, and your blog post is written? Whhyyyy?
Thank you for visiting my blog today!

I love your fabric charm pack, such lovely colors.
ReplyDeleteThe ornament is beautiful, not sure where the fuzzy is, cannot see it here.
Blessings

Nice charm pack and charming finish! ^^
ReplyDeleteDon't know what the warm red fuzzy is... ????
ReplyDeleteWe had egg salad for lunch also.
ReplyDeleteWhat was supposed to be boiled eggs turned into a disaster when I used a hint from the net for making the "perfect" boiled egg.
These wouldn't peel...at all.
I lost a good portion of the whites, so they became egg salad! lol
Guess I'll use my old way of boiling the heck out of them until the yolks are green, I love green yolks.
Cute ornament, those charm packs are great for ornament finishing.

Super ornament you stitched and finished! I really like that charm pack you shared. Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteOops, I see the red fuzzy....;) mittens!
ReplyDeleteVery nice ornament.
Cute ornie, love it on black.
ReplyDeleteI only spotted the big red fuzzy because you told us it was there!
Very pretty finish.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous finish and the charm pack is perfect for finishing Christmas ornies - what a find!
ReplyDeleteThis ornament is so striking on the black fabric! Fantastic choice! I love charm packs for backing too.
ReplyDeleteCute charm pack, lots of lovelies in that.
ReplyDeleteSweet finish, I do admire stitchers who work on black fabric.
Cute charm pack and very cute ornament. If I blow up the picture and use a magnifying glass I can see the fuzzy and only because you said it was there and I had to find it. :-)
ReplyDeleteI never thought to look at the quilt shop for little pieces like that. What cute fabric!! And the one you chose for your ornament is perfect!
ReplyDeleteGreat charm pack you found. Lovely finish!! (that see-the-fuzzy-AFTER-you-post thing must be related to the find-the-typos-after-you-print thing - am certain they're both somehow related to Murphy's Law)
ReplyDeleteI love using charm pack pieces in my finishing, too, Sharon--they are often the perfect size. Your little mitten ornament is darling--and the snowflake fabric is wonderful on the back :)
ReplyDeleteLove the mittens and what perfect fabric for the backing.
ReplyDeleteI never get tired of seeing Christmas ornaments, so keep them coming!
