My Ma still blows

I feel really guilty for not stitching on my Snapper Year. I got a little distracted with strawberries. So, my March WIP is still stuck on that rude phrase and the new one is growing quickly. Well, not TOO quickly! I admit, frogs invaded for a short time because I thought I was so above checking the pattern, photographic memory ~ you know? NOT!

When this is finished (maybe a pin pillow?) I'm thinking of sending this to someone who reads this blog...

Thank you for visiting my blog today!

  8. Ya know, I think you just have to stitch on what you are in the mood to stitch. I believe you get more done that way =) Other than the one or two exchanges I signed up for this year, that is what I plan to do! Even then I still have to choose between cross stitch, knitting, crocheting, beading, tatting.....

  9. That is cute. I cracked up at the title to your post.

  10. For me? How kind! LOL! Seriously though, I was just talking about Strawberry picking with my mom yesterday. We were reminising about how she would tell the people that they should weigh me before I went in and then when I came out because I would eat more than I picked! I love the good old days!

  11. Say it aint so, Daffycat, you couldn't possibly ever need to frog! Why you're my hero :) I kinda liked that "rude phase" it made me chuckle...but I must say that your strawberry is beautiful and oh so perfect, as usual...I think it would be great as a pillow...you can use one of those awesome new fabrics that you bought....in fact I must tell you I had a dream about your stash! I know, I got a problem! LOL...Stashonista's unite!

    Stay warm and hugs
    Ma

And that adorable ornie that you made and I won hung on the best part of the Christmas tree for the entire season. Just think--I can get it out again in something under 9 months! Hah--Christmas is coming!

  13. Cute start Sharon. I have been thinking about strawberries this past week. We have a farm about a mile from us and we picked and ate our fill last spring. This year I am going to make sure I freeze some so I can enjoy "almost" fresh strawberries in January!

  29. Good Morning - I am behind in blogging. Too much to do and not enough time.

I love the pictures of your stash haul - all that dmc, wonderful!

I also love your little snowman piece. Was the design in a magazine? It is just too cute!

Of couse I am partial to the strawberry finish as it reminds me of spring and not snow. I think it will look wonderful as a little pin pillow.

Enjoy your day and I can't wait to see what you stitch up next.

  42. A wonderful strawberry pattern and you can finish it in so many different ways, a pincushion, a pinkeep, and hanging pillow, a flatfold. And each of them would look great with this motif.
