Two Frogs

I created two frogs on Merry Sunshine the other day. I couldn't bear to look at the "Cornhusk" Sun and Moon any longer so I frogged both of them and restitched in "Grecian Gold" instead. I know the "Cornhusk" was an excellent match to the DMC but on my very dark fabric, it did not look good.

Frogged thread is so curly!

Gosh, now the Stars look so pale! They may need a darker color as well. What do you think?

Oh, hey! Look at that Big Purple Dress! It even has it's pompoms on the bottom now. This is getting close to a finish...if I can keep from frogging, that it!

Thank you for visiting my blog today!

  1. The purple dress is amazing and I'm not a purple girl

  2. I like the changes you made. I'm not sure about the stars, I think the sun and moon might not stand out so much if you change those too, it's hard to tell! Not much more to go now, it's looking great!

  3. Sharon, it looks awesome. Love the dress. Have you thought about back stitching the stars in a darker shade?

  4. It looks better, Cornhusk is too green.
Like another person said, maybe just a little backstitch, not really dark, but just enough to bring them out.

  5. Looks great! I agree with Sue - I think I would try backstitching the stars before I frogged them.

  6. Woohoo on getting the purple dress finished! I like the new color for the moon and sun. What if you backstitched the stars with the Grecian Gold?

  8. ROTFL! This is the first time I've ever seen someone actually make frogs out of their frogging! I'm rooting for you to finish!

  10. I like your colour change and I think the stars should be left as is, more in the background.
She looks great, love that purple!
