Dreary Crabby Weekend

It is a dreary, rainy, cloudy, Crabby weekend. Incessant rain, coming up from Texas, doesn't look to be ending any time soon. Simply perfect weather to sit down with a cuppa tea (thanks Denis & Frances) and pick up my stitching.

First up is the Harvest Pumpkins floss tag. I finished it! I was thrilled to find a copper colored eyelet in my stash as it matches perfectly. This little gem is packed up ready to be mailed tomorrow as a little surprise for someone that reads my blog. I'm linking this post with the free cross stitch posts, to show the finish photo. Sorry for those expecting another free pattern!

I had another finish yesterday as well...my Lizzie Kate Exchange is complete and will be in the mail tomorrow. It turned out way too darling and I really, really wanted to keep it for myself. Damn, am I greedy! I can't wait to show you the picture when it arrives.

After all that finishing, I was ready for some serious stitching. Here is where I am on Crabby All Year September. As of last night, anyway. I hope to get chronic stitch-ass by bedtime tonight.

Woot, woot!

Today, I received my Lizzie* Kate exchange from Michele of Just Another Stitching blog. I am really thrilled. Isn't this the best floss tag ever? I freakin' LOVE ladybugs and the colors in this tag are just gorgeous. Then, to top it off are the sweetest floss cards made from scrapbook papers. OMG! Thank you so much, Michele, I'm so pleased!

WIP

Here is a little update on the Traveling pattern. I'm not finding the time I thought I'd have the past couple of weeks and my mood is definitely off. Give me my stitchy time ~ or else!

Just another shot of the WIP. I swear, I centered this; Gremlins came, when I wasn't looking, and moved all my stitching two inches to the left.

They had to have.

Penguin freebie and a giveaway!

I have penguins on my mind lately. It may be the Christmas wrapping paper I bought with penguins on the other day. Shame on me! Gift wrap is a serious weakness of mine and I did NOT need more...but the penguins were so darn cute. I have three huge boxes in the basement, THREE boxes, full of gift wrap. The penguin wrap was really cute. I admit it. I caved.

KISS exchange received

I received word my KISS exchange arrived in the UK for Val and completely forgot to post about it. It must be that Old Blind Dogs swoon I am still in! Anyway, I stitched up a floss tag using, using...OMG, I forget which magazine this design came from! I'll have to suss it out. I really enjoyed stitching for Val! Visit her site for pictures of the entire exchange package...and for awesome photos in general; Val is quite a good photographer.

Floss Tag

I couldn't stand not trying something new! With Staci and Becky's encouragement I stitched up a little gift for my friend in France. This design is Tiny Toad a freebie by The Cricket Collection. I used Staci's instructions to create the floss ring tag. It was super easy to do, although...I do recommend a bit of practice attaching the eyelets; my first couple were pretty sad!

This is a gift, but it hasn't been mailed yet. I'll go to the post office with it after work tomorrow. I don't mind if my friend happens to see it before is arrives but I don't think she reads my blog.
