I stitched up a little Blackbird Designs pinpillow over the weekend. This was quickly finished and was a fun mini-project. I stuffed it with crushed walnut shells and trimmed it with chenille dyed brown. I need some amber or golden brown beads to make a few pins to go with it.
Design ~ Wild Berry, Strawberry #3
Designer ~ Blackbird Designs
Fabric ~ 28 count mystery scrap, tea-dyed
Fiber ~ DMC
After finishing the pinpillow, I couldn't decide what to stitch next so I got out Finery of Nature and started the next block. The colors are so cheery and vibrant on the black fabric. I should work on this and get it done...I don't know why I haven't picked it back up sooner.
Thank you for visiting my blog today!

Hello Daffycat
I've just become a follower of your blog. I'm going to have a good luck around it tomorrow.
Your finish is lovely and your wip is looking great!
Love that little pincushion! Perfect finishing.
That is a cute finish and I love the colours in Finery. Stitching on black makes everything look so rich.
Lovely little pinpillow, but it's the stitching on the black that caught my eye!
That's really pretty
A very cute little pinpillow!
Lovely stitching and finishing!
I love it. Best way to spend this scorching OK summer...stitching!
That is so cute. Isn't it nice to do something you can finish fast?
the pin pillow is a cutie! I've never imagined crushed walnut shells could be used for filling.
The colors on the black fabric look so pretty!!! I'm sure it'll be an awesome finish ;)
Cute pincushion. Love those colors on the black...very pretty!
happy stitching...
Your pin pillow is darling! But, OH MY GOSH, Finery of Nature is just exquisite! I'd love to see more of it!
cute pillow. I wish I was working on dark blue fabric but I found it was too small for my olympic stitch. I now have to stitch a whole lot of blue! Black was fun to stitch on, just needed to stitch with tv so I could hold it up and see the holes.
I bet that pincuchion smells wonderful :) Beautiful finish as always, and I love progress you are making on Finery of Nature - great work so far!

That's a cute little pillow. Where do you find chenille? I can't seem to find it anywhere, but I'm probably looking in the wrong places.
I've been admiring Finery of Nature every time you've posted a picture of it. It's *so* pretty!
Congrats on finishing the pillow!
YAY Finery Of Nature!! MAN, I can't believe how awesome those colors are on the black every time I see it!!
Do you use a light box for the black material? I'm having a horrible time with my navy blue! But black looks absolutely gorgeous!
Love it - gorgeous finish!
Yessssss! Finery of nature is back in the mix!!! Love that sweet little pin pillow! Gotta get me some of those walnut crushed shell stuff!
What a lovely little stitch.
I just had to see who was using that crazy little cow icon, so I came over to visit. I don't do cross stitch but I inherited some from my Mom, when she passed away. I think it's in my future, once I get over quilting. I, too, like guns. My stitching passion is applique'. I'm a new follower (wishing I had an animated icon). Please stop in a visit, when you have a moment, and follow me too. Thanks for the fun time.
