I must admit, the obscene amount of frogging I did on this block put a serious hex on my stitching mojo. Frogging does that to you too, doesn't it? However, even though stitching this the second time around was not quite as much fun as the first, I have completed my Snapper block for May! And it is in the correct position. Always, a plus.
I substituted a couple of the suggested colors with ones I liked better. If you are interested in the list, feel free to email me. I still need to find buttons to replace those weird snaps but haven't seriously searched yet. There is at least six months before they are needed so no pressure, right?
This was a productive weekend! I finished this May block. I ornamentified a Christmas design for my Ornament Swap exchange and it's ready to mail. Kitted up for the Snapper June block and kitted up for my next Christmas ornament stitch. I wish I was always so on top of things!
Happy birthday to my dear sister-in-law, Chris! I needed to give her a shout-out because she is so sweet to read my blog faithfully. No one in my family reads this except her and my DD, Jessie. Not even Rick! Thank you, dear sister. I hope you have had a wonderful birthday today!
Thank you for visiting my blog today!

Love the May block. I think some simple white shirt buttons might look cute as the centers on the flowers.
Have a very stitchy week! You deserve it.
Congrats on finishing May in time...it looks great!
Congratulations for finishing in the face of the frogs! I might have stuck it in a drawer, myself. And I know what you mean about family reading the blog. My retired parents, who don't have anything much to do all day, don't bother. I don't think my BF bothers either. It's enough to give you a complex.
Looks great!
Looking good with time to spare!
Looks great! I'm the same way when the frogs visit... nothing says procrastination like the frogs :) LOL
I am an embroidery enthusiast. You may say "addict" too. But a full-time career hardly leaves room to pursue my love. Every time I read you posts, my fingers itch with longing to get some needle and thread.. 'tis refreshing to get those May flowers! Cheero!
Beautiful stitching!
YEAH!! You finished it with no other hiccups, thats always cause for celebration :) I look forward to seeing next months block. Keep it up girl.
Congratulations for pushing throught the mojo slow-down and getting the May block done in time! That's some serious stitching chops. :o)
May does bloom with perfection!!
I use patchwork buttons for my works to finish. I'll look up the brand for you later this evening.
A great finish! I've just bought these designs myself, and I agree with you - what is the point of the snappers...?
Congratz on the the finished May block. It looks so lovely with all the colors...
It's never as much fun stitching something for a second time, but you made the right decision. I think you would have been annoyed with yourself every time you looked at it otherwise. Looks great!
Love the colors you selected....and sorry to read about your frogging issues. What a bummer!
It is amazing how a frogging session will put me off a project. I'll do the frogging but getting started again is tough.
May's block look beautiful.
Happy Birthday to Chris, hope she had a wonderful day.
May looks purrrrrfect! and I am sure that you will find the purrrrrfect buttons to go with it. I know what you mean when you talk about the frogs that steal your stitching mojo - but somehow we all seem to overcome it and finish up with a beautiful piece of work. Congrats on finishing up May in time.
Take care!
Yahoo it's done! :D Best wishes for June!
Every once in a great while a project just has bad karma, but you've easily slayed the frog. Looks super:)
Congrats on the finish. It is lovely.
I'm so glad you made it past your frogging Mayhem:
Did you ever feel like May Blooms....and blooms.....and blooms......lol
Maybe you will enjoy June a little better
O.K. I'll quit teasing you- Take Care :P
Love your colors on the May block.
Sandy
Going back again is always hard. You'd think we'd learn at some point to not make those kinds of mistakes anymore but.............nope. lol
Your May block is lover-ly! :)
Sorry to hear you had to do so much frogging! But it is darned cute!
your may block looks great! and i love the color changes .. it looks more may-ish? lol
I lost my mojo as soon as i saw the bleeding on my blue bell pixie ... still dont know how to remove it and not interested in stitching right now =[
It looks great, Sharon--so glad you weren't visited by that green creature this time around.
"Ornamentified"--love it!!
You got there in the end! Its really pretty
Looks great!
It turned out great Sharon. I'm sure those frogs have hit the road now. Just make sure they don't show up here! Looking forward to June.
May Blooms turned out beautiful! Now all the frogging is behind you.
Glad the frogs went away for May mark II. Hope the June block goes without any hitches, and i can't wait to seeyour latest exchange stitching
I say what happens in the froggy bowl stays in the froggy bowl and we revel in the present beauty of your finished block!! And finished in the correct month too.
WOOHOO! Done on time and done correctly ;o) Sorry Sharon, couldn't resist. LOL!
Wow, you are organized!
Great finish on May Blooms!
It looks fantastic, love the colors that you used. I am glad that you were able to send those frogs packing.
Great finish! YGG! :)
You're a braver woman than I am,because I would *never* have frogged all that. What's more, if I *had* frogged, I would have lost all love for the entire project and just chucked it in the bin. Having said that, it looks divine ;o) As for the snappers, wel...
Love this block. I think it's my favorite one. I just love the colors. I don't care for the snaps either.
I love the May Block writing, great finish :)
Looking great - well done you for re-stitching & finishing it. :0)
Happy Dancing with you Sharon on your finished square, it's gorgeous!
Hopefully next months won't be such a drag.
LOL I love your comment about mooring the titanic... And you sort of know don't you that THIS could be the block you will be revisiting to frog... I have many 'lost my mojo' projects which I am not sure I will ever revisit... :(
Your May block is just so pretty!
Micki
Sorry to hear the May block gave you such a hard time, but it looks great!
Another block with frogging issues! Looks good done. Please email me at drewsgrands@hotmail.com with your mailing address. Anyone who has had the frog issues you have deserves a little something!!
It is lovely....and if you had not frogged....it would have bugged you forever!
Don'tcha just hate when you do an obscene amoutn of frogging on such a little piece?? I had the problem with the biscornu I'm working on. :(
