Only one day late! Bent Creek's Snapper Year April Glooms is complete! I buckled down and stitched today. I even made a start on the May block as if to make up for being tardy with April. I am stitching with DMC instead of the recommended overdyes. I've changed the colors a bit in this one as the color called for in the letters (3787) was only one shade different than the raindrops. I think I used...crap, I don't remember! And tidy & efficient me has already filed them all away. Anyway, I am going to change colors as I feel the need. I don't think I mentioned this in the January block when I changed Mr. Snowman's carrot nose from a horrid dark brown to a more suitable carrot-y color.
Thank you all for the kind comments about my garden! I am so pleased to have it finished. It was good to get some sun and dirt under my nails. My overall mood has much improved with that needed sunlight and exercise. Yay for Spring time!
Thank you for visiting my blog today!

Beautiful finish. Bent Creek does have such lovely patterns. DD still has a half Red Thread to finish but is too busy for school.
Glad to read I am not the only one with a day too late finish ;0)
Aprils square looks lovely Sharon.
Congratulations on finishing April... Looking forward to seeing this month's Snapper!
Great finish on the April block, and one day barely counts as late at all! Loved seeing the pics of your garden too
Great job! I like your color choices and I am right there with you with the dirt under my nails! lol It feels good to get your hands into the earth and mulch.
Congratulations on the completion! I know how you feel when you don't finish a monthly goal - now done I am sure that it is a "load off your mind". And you even got a start on the May block...YAHOO.
Take care and enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Yipee for you! Love the fob on your scissors too.
I told you that you were cutting it close ;o) Glad to see you did it. LOL! Your color change was a good choice. I'll have to remember this when I stitch mine.
April Glooms is pretty! There is just something about umbrellas that I love - maybe the shape. Your picture looks beautiful with the scissor fob!
Great job on April Glooms! Its nice to watch the Snapper Year come along, it's still on my short list of projects for the future.
Yay for spring is RIGHT! I did a little "gardening" myself today. I bought two more orchids at the farmer's market. (Pictures will be up on the blog eventually.)
I LOVE April glooms -- well, the stitching, not actual April glooms. The umbrella is adorable.
It looks wonderful Sharon :)
Gloomy April looks great. I don't think of April as gloomy, but the showers are supposed to bring May flowers and that's what it did at your house!
April Glooms perfectly describes our day here in PA today--UGH! You're one-third done--yay :)
Cute finish! I hope those Glooms are gone for good. Bring on May flowers!
A lovely block, what a lovely fob on your scissors.
Your garden is really beautiful, lots of lovely flowers to look forward to over the coming months, well done you on the hard work. The pic of Sheda is adroable
