Jessie and I took a trip to Oklahoma City to go shopping with my mother and sister. We had a great girl's day out! Fabric stores and craft shops and even a stop in at Cross Stitch Haven. We had lunch out at Chelino's a favorite Mexican food stop. I had tamales and enchiladas and slurped down two beers, Tecate heaven. It was truly glorious.
While in the Haven, I had a (fabulous) breakdown! I've had my beady eyes on Raise The Roof's Crabby All Year charts for ages and when I saw them this time...they were bought and paid for before I could even say "But, I don't have time for another project!" Alas, they are mine. All mine-and I love them! So cute and silly!
I am thinking about gathering all the supplies up and stitching one block a month over the next year. Is there anyone interested in doing a stitch-a-long with me on this design?
Arriving home late in the evening, I found an envelope from France. I had RAK'd my friend, Marie-Hélène, a copy of the Just Cross Stitch Christmas Ornaments issue and look what she sent me in return! I cannot read but a few words...the designs are awesome. There is even a little mousie dressed up as a butterfly!
Thank you for visiting my blog. Don't forget to sign up for the giveaway on my November 1st post!

That Santa with the sleigh and the reindeer is so cute!
I'm totally jealous! :)
I hadn't seen those "crabby" designs before. They crack me up! If I can track down the charts I might be interested in a SAL
Lovely magazines too
Great stash haul!!
I have all those charts, and have already done Jan, Feb, March, and April. When you get there, I'll pick it back up and SAL with you. It's been lying in a drawer for months, waiting to be resumed.
OMG I love that pattern. They are one of my favorite designers. The two of them are wonderful gals. I wish I could join you but if I start another project, I will be divorced as soon as the needle hits my fabby. LOL! I'm anxious to see up dates though. I love the 'zombie' one....LOLOL!
I've been eyeing those too!:) But I don't even have the patterns, so I"ll just have to watch your SAL from afar!:)
Did you get my email last week?
Those are really neat but I will have to watch from afar too! The French magazines look really interesting too.
What a wonderful breakdown to have! I like those crabby designs. But if I buy any new charts this year I think I'll just die. Have fun stitching them!
I love RTR designs :o) Have fun with that one!
Those French magazines are great!
I love those Crabby All Year designs. I've been resisting buying them because I suspect I'll just keep admiring and never get around to stitching them. But they sure are fun designs.
Have fun with the French mags. It's always a treat to get something that's really not available in the US at all.
I haven't even had a chance to look at the magazines yet !!! Tomorrow, I should go to the grocery store and get me a copy of each mag ;-)
I love the crabby designs: they crack me up ;-)
Lovely gift you received and nice stash too
have fun with the RTR. They will be cute!
I have a friend who bought all the crabby months! I'm going to let her know about your SAL. Great penguin too!! Adorable!
Those are great stash and magazines too.
Thanks so much for stopping by at my blog.
First I've heard or seen of Crabby designs! Can't wait to see them stitched! Looks too cute!
I saw the Crabby All Year stitched up in my LNS and thought it was wonderful! I look forward to watching your progress, I just can't buy anything else right now, I need to stitch up what is already in my stash :)
I love that Crabby All Year pattern...unfortunately, I already have a to-do list that's a mile long! I'll just have to watch your progress. :-)
I LOVE those patterns - Crabby all Year. But I don't have them yet. We'll see if I can get them before you start your SAL and I'll join you. I do have a birthday coming up....
